Wynnona Engle-Pratt, a pediatric nurse who has worked in Baltimore for over 5 years, began her involvement in community-based health after seeing first hand how difficult the health care system can be for families who lack community support. She volunteered at Charm City Clinic for several years and is delighted to now be involved in a permanent position. She is currently studying to be a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and is completing the MSN/MPH program at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. She was born in Iowa and grew up in Blacksburg Virginia and Montgomery County Maryland. While it was never her plan to stay in Baltimore long term, she has grown very attached to this city and is now committed to continuing her career here. The communities of Baltimore show great resilience and hope and inspire her to continue working to foster health and wellbeing for all residents.
